OUR STORY
Inês and Paul lived in Monte das Sesmarias for six years, bringing up four boys, before focussing on their careers; Inês as a molecular biologist and Paul as a foreign correspondent and energy and climate change researcher. After periods in Qatar, Dubai, Oman and Sweden, they returned home to Portugal to live, once again, on the farm. In 2021, they acquired the much larger neighbouring estate Monte da Japónica, allowing them to expand their tourism business and begin hosting retreats.
