Monte da Japonica is situated in the foothills of the Serra D’Ossa, 20km south of Estremoz and 35km North of Evora. The farm is secluded but within easy reach by motorway from Lisbon (2 hours) and Spain (1 hour).

From Estremoz on the N381:

After passing the village of Aldeia da Serra (approx. 2kms), look for the signpost on the right saying Herdade da Maroteira.

From Redondo on the N381:

After passing the Roquevale winery (approx. 5kms) look for the signpost on the left saying Herdade da Maroteira, just before Aldeia da Serra. The drive up to the main house and cottage is approximately 1.5km. Once on the drive, after approx. 200m, take the right fork after which there is an open gate. The farm is on the brow of the hill immediately after a left hand fork.
